Where 4sk.ai came from
Our first conversational telephone project was not a salon at all. We built an AI concierge to handle spoken enquiries for York Racecourse events, and that is where the difficult parts were learned: callers talking over the greeting, background noise, keeping track of what had already been said, and knowing when to hand over to a person.
Salon calls turned out to be a harder version of the same problem. A caller says “the usual”, changes their mind halfway through, asks for a particular stylist, or wants colour that needs a patch test first. So we took the telephone work we already trusted and rebuilt it around a salon's treatments, team, diary and rules. That is 4sk.ai.
We are deliberately careful about what we claim. A booking system is only described as connected once its credentials have been validated, a line only goes live after the journeys have been tested with the owner, and we would rather tell you something is not possible than find out on a real client's call.
